Publications, Presentations, and Notes
This listing is provided for reference only, and will be maintained on a quarterly basis. For an up-to-date list of publications, I recommend using the SciX Digital Library author search.
Refereed Publications
Last Updated: 13 May 2026
Below is the full listing of my refereed publications. As a member of several large collaborations, I am often an author for publications where my effort was involved in generating the data set. As a result, I am a co-author on many publications where I was not directly involved in the analysis. In addition, alphabetical authorship policies result in a reduced number of first-author papers. I recommend reviewing my full Note on Authorship in Large Collaboratons for context.

A Note on Authorship in Large Collaborations
As a member of several large collaborations, and especially as a member of the Catalogs and Timing groups, I am eligible to sign a large number of papers. This means that work that I have done (catalog, scheduling, pulsar observations, etc.) contributed in some material way to those publications. It does not, however, mean that I am an expert in all those areas. In deciding which papers to sign, I determine whether my work has contributed to the paper, and whether I feel confident the analysis was properly done. If I don’t know the analysis methods reasonably well, I will not sign.
Because so many people are eligible to be authors, most large collaborations (especially those with backgrounds in high-energy physics) dictate that the author lists shall be alphabetical, especially for more influential publications, such as catalogs. Credit for the primary contributors is therefore given by designating them “Contact Authors,” with limits on the number allowed per publication. As a result, many major contributors are still not able to be credited as contact authors. I have separated my publication list into categories to make clear to which publications I have substantively contributed.
